Battle Methodist Church funded the new Church by the sale of the obsolete old chapel on Lower Lake, by fund raising and donations by its members and friends, and by gifting by the wider Methodist Church of Great Britain community and by other local and national donors.

The maintenance and running costs of Battle Methodist Church's Emmanuel Centre are met by its members and supporters, and from the proceeds generated by various events and the hiring out of its facilities.
